Job Title: Junior Civil Engineer (Bridges & Infrastructure) Job Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in bridge construction and rural infrastructure. You will be responsible for the day-to-day site supervision of bridge projects under the Panchayat Raj (PR) and Roads & Buildings (R&B) departments. Your primary goal is to ensure that construction adheres to the technical designs and that all site measurements are accurately recorded for government billing. Key Responsibilities 1. Site Supervision & Execution Supervise daily construction activities for bridge components: sub-structure (piers, abutments) and super-structure (girders, slabs). Monitor the quality of concrete pouring, reinforcement binding, and formwork stability. Ensure work is executed as per the Plan and Profile approved by the department. 2. Measurements & Documentation Assist the Senior Engineer in recording entries in the Measurement Book (MB). Maintain Site Order Books, Pour Cards, and Material Test Registers (Cement, Steel, Sand, etc.). Prepare "As-Built" drawings and daily progress reports (DPRs). 3. Quality Control (QC) Support Collect samples of concrete cubes and soil for testing at government-approved labs. Ensure the water-cement ratio and slump tests are conducted at the site for every pour. Assist in the inspection process when the Quality Control (QC) wing or Executive Engineer (EE) visits the site. 4. Labor & Resource Management Manage site labor and subcontractors to meet weekly progress targets. Required Qualifications & Skills Education: B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering. Experience: 2–4 years, with at least 1–2 years in Bridge/Culvert construction.
