Role Purpose
Business Development Manager is responsible for developing & driving revenue growth through dealer networks by developing channel strategies, strengthening relationships, and ensuring effective market penetration.
Key Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute channel sales strategy aligned with organizational revenue and market expansion goals.
Appoint, manage, and expand dealer networks across assigned territories.
Drive secondary sales, monitor channel inventory, and ensure healthy stock rotation.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through channel partners.
Build strong relationships with key channel partners, influencers, and trade bodies.
Conduct channel training programs on products, pricing, schemes, and selling techniques.
Plan and execute trade marketing activities, promotions, and incentive schemes.
Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics; provide actionable insights.
Ensure compliance with company policies, credit control, and channel governance norms.
Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure smooth channel operations.
Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and performance dashboards for management review.
Skills & Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
10–12 years of experience in Channel / Trade Sales.
Working knowledge of trade schemes, margins, and pricing structures.
Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and influencing skills. Results-oriented with high ownership and accountability.
